UNFORGIVENESS

The worst position I have every found myself to be in is a state of unforgiveness and holding offenses against another. There is so much of it in our culture today. Jesus was very specific in dealing with unforgiveness. He said in Matthew 6:14, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matt 6:14-15 (NKJV)

You can either be the one holding the offense against another, or you can be the recipient of an unforgiving person. Either way, the spirit of the offense OR the spirit of unforgiveness is bondage. The person who will not forgive the offense is not free. They are imprisioned. The person who stands unforgiven also feels the same dispare. We all have faults and imperfections in our lives. We all have made mistakes we regret and wish we could change. Let us love one another like the Bible teaches. Let us forgive as is God's faithfulness to forgive us.
